The previous owner has removed the OEM javelina monitor. After some research it looks like there should be coax behind the dash along with some other connections to the old monitor but can't confirm. Can anyone tell me exactly what connections should be laying abandoned behind the dash for the original system? (If they didn't cut and throw away) I'm wanting to find whatever cable shows the tank levels and splice that into a new monitor. If it is coax, then i'll have to get an adapter from coax to RCA...01 U320
Thank you
I would find the aluminum Javalina box (mine is under the floor of the center storage compartment) and trace the wires from there. Then you will know you have the correct wires.

In the 1997 when you opened the top to the center section of the dash there was a board that slid out that had the brains for the levels. It then has a cable that went to the Display box.
We have a "Javelina/Audit" folder in our Forum media library. See if there is anything helpful there.

Here's a few photos showing what turbo is referring to. The arrow points to the black plywood base for the Audit. I know they were all like this through 99 but I'm not sure of later models. Anyhow, you should find a couple of coax cables stuffed in there. jor
I've been in there looking around and don't remember a box like that...but I wasn't looking for that, was looking for wires and maybe I missed it. So that silver box is the "brains" for the Audit/javeline?
The plywood panel is in the 2000 as well, as I had our's out earlier this year!
I just pulled my Javeline out and if I remember correctly the water tank sensor wires
were just ordinary wires not Coaxial. I put a Seeland system in and used the existing
wires. If you haven't found them I could take a picture of the wires tomorrow.
Here are 2 pictures of the wires from the tank sensors. I found them with a tone
tracer and then used an ohm meter.
If you want to display the Javalina tank gauges, you will need working tank sensors, wires from there to the Javalina brain and then coax from there to the display/monitor. The system will also display a compass and outside temp.
Many on the Forum prefer the SeeLevel system when the Javalina fails and parts are unavailable to repair. But I like the Javalina system and have been squirreling away used spare parts to keep mine operating. I have replaced the original display with a modern LCD monitor and it works well.

Rich,
That's what I was hoping to do, but if they cut the wires I'll probably go with SeeLevel. Haven't had a chance to get out and look again for the brain and coax you're referring to.
Kinda hard to tell which wires your talking about here in the pictures, what color are they?
It's the grey loom with all the wires coming out of it. If you get a tone tracer it would
really help to trace wires. I wouldn't be without one owning a coach.
Do you recommend a good tone tracer, started looking online and there are hundreds to choose from.
The switch is on the new monitor. I hooked the camera up to Video In 1 and the Audit output to Video In 2.
