Title: Oasis Boiler Antifreeze
Post by: djpauls on January 15, 2022, 04:17:21 pm
Oasis Boiler Antifreeze changed at FOT in 2019 and 976 hours on the furnace hour meter.  Used 6 Gallons of Camco -100 Boiler antifreeze.  Added about 18ozs of Camco at 1,136 hrs.  Overflow tank is nearly empty today at 1,200 hrs.  I cannot find any leaks and assume that the system is just purging air from the coolant change in 2019.  Camco Boiler antifreeze is not available.  I found Star Brite -100 Boiler antifreeze that is the same color and appears to be similar if not identical to the Camco product.

Any concerns about the amount of antifreeze that I have added?

Do you think that using the Star Brite product would be OK?

Thanks for your help!

Don

That seems to be quite a bit for top up.
