Hi
First post here. Getting to know my 22 realm. Anyone know how to fill past 90% on fresh water. I went to change setting and the setting is locked.
Thanks
Tom
Tom,
Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new Foretravel. With such a new Foretravel I doubt that there is very much experience with these newer systems here. I suspect that you will have to contact the factory for these answers.

Tom, not sure why you want more than 90%. On the older coaches you never want to overfill to the point where the overflow comes into play. I'm sure it's a safety feature on the 22 and not to be tampered with.IMO

Welcome to the ForeForum.
Could be either not filling to 100% OR gauge not calibrated.
As suggested, a call to Foretravel is likely to yield the answer.
Ever fill a gas can up to overflowing with cold gas?
Then wonder why gas ended up on the floor or the tank split when the gas warmed up?
It is called thermal expansion.
Water does expand when warmed up. Maybe not enough to split the tank, but enough to cause water running out somewhere.
If you message me I can help you with the password. I am assuming they use the same code for all coaches. They lock setting like this to keep people from making changes and screwing things up.
For others, the reason Tmyz is asking is when they want to fill the water tank it will only let it fill to 90% before the electric water valve is closed. The good part about that feature is when you get side tracked and walk away from watching the screen it shuts off at 90%. I have not gone in to see if the water tank even has a 100% sensor. The gauge is displayed only in ten's . I am guessing that there are sensors at each of these levels on the side of the water tank.
I would certainly contact FT before bypassing any factory set limits on a new coach under warranty. I wouldn't want to find out the hard way that I had voided a specific warranty on this. Just my $0.02. Enjoy that new coach.
Thanks everyone. Normally I wouldn't care but We are boondocking right now and getting water is not easy. 400 feet of hose yada yada. My older country coach had a manual fill that would let it fill to capacity.
I didn't think of the expansion issue. That makes sense. Especially living in the desert.
Thanks again for the replies.
Hi Tom,
When you to the lock screen try the code 42. You should then be able to get into the rest of the settings. Works on our 20 Realm 😊
FYI if you have not joined the FB Groups there are 2 I am aware of that are fairly active; Foretravel Realm Group & Foretravel Owners Group
Welcome!!

Just a note, I put in a hot water recirculation system in my coach and it is a huge water
saver.
I have completely filled my fresh water tank several times. It never reflects more than 80% full on the monitor but the water comes out of the overflow. I recently purchased a water flow meter and filled my completely empty tank until the water came out of the overflow. The monitor showed 80% but the flow meter showed that I had out in almost 129 gallons. My 2018 Realm is listed as having 127 gallon freshwater capacity. My monitor needs to be calibrated.
Peter, got any information on this system and installation? Would be a great thread for the renovations section.
Keith, Roger also put in a hot recirculation system. I used 2 small pumps one for the
bathroom and one for the kitchen sink. I will take some pictures and make a new post.
Since putting it in I can't believe how little water I use.
Tom, your fresh water tank likely has either a mechanical level switch or an electronic level sensor that shuts off the electric fill valve to prevent overfilling. The tanks fill from the bottom. A direct fill port can be added near the top of the tank which will get you that extra couple percent. It can also be used to add water from a portable tank. Here is a 30 gallon example.

I have one 7 gallon rigid plastic Reliant water container and four 5.3 gallon Smart Bottles that fold very compactly. I bought a spare rv water pump and wired it for temporary battery connection with a switch. I can pump from my extra containers into the fresh water fill. Put the water containers in my pickup, load up on water and can add 27 gallons without lifting or carrying containers. Pump straight from truck. Others use water bladders for 60 gallons or more.
Congratulations on your coach and willingness to get "out there."
