We've been boondocking at Imperial Dam for the last two weeks and arrived in Quartzsite yesterday. Started the coach up this morning and there is a very noticeable hiss coming from the front. The air brake pressure is fine, brakes work fine, but this hiss is still there. Attached a pic of where the sound is coming from. Can anyone help us figure out what this is, please?
Pressure regulator that controls air pressure to front air bags. Usually limits to 60 psi +/-. You can find a replacement at any hardware or big box store that sells air tools etc. Its an easy repair.

Thank you! I just want to be sure. The piece I've circled is specifically where the hiss is coming from. Is this the regulator?
The black valve you circled is part of the regulator. When you buy a new regulator everything between the two airlines will come as one unit. Set it to 70 psi when you get the new one. Don't mess with that stuff without blocking the coach first. RV Lifestyle Inc in Q will have that part:

Yes - the whole thing is the regulator (body + dial + black plastic adjustment knob).
Ok, thanks again! We did go to RV Lifestyles and they no longer carry the part. We'll try Napa Auto parts or Ace Hardware in Parker, AZ.
Rodney, I replaced all of mine with this one style from Lowes. Easy fix, and has been working well.

Home Depot carries the same style too.
As others have said, make sure you use safety stands when under the coach,
Ok, thanks. I've never spent real time under the coach. Which safety stands should I get and where do you place them under the coach?
You need 8 stands to hold up both ends of the coach.

Use the HWH leveling pad to raise the coach to its highest level and then place each one near each air bag.
REGARDING INSTALLING THE "LIFT" PIPES, IS ANYONE GOING TO TELL HIM ABOUT THE FRAME DIMPLES THAT INDICCATE WHERE THEY GO? I FORGOT.....
I guess you need to remind us (or at least me) about this dimples. I've never knowingly used them. Pictures please!
Guess your talking about stop pads. I never reach in that far. I just place inside of the airbags and centered on structure.

IMO the safety stand should be a "stand-in" for the air bag. :))
Right next to the bag makes sense. Way inboard on the little metal ring does
not make sense. To me. But, as always, DWMYH
I always place mine exactly as yours is shown in your photo.
I suggest you raise your coach up fully and measure the distance between frames while the bags are fully inflated. You may need to have your stands cut down to 11" before they'll fit. Everyone's coach seems to be a little different.
I like ours raised as high as possible and so I left the stands at their original length. I need to have Carolyn inside holding the button to raise one side at a time to the maximum height but (at least for us) the full-length stands will just fit.
Where are you in "Q" we are at Salome,if need be could possibly come and help you.
I found two of those stands here in the coach but need to pick up more. Also, I didn't find the air pressure regulator part yet. Will go into Parker or Blythe to get it today or tomorrow. There is a big Napa in Parker - I need to call them to find out if they have it.
We are staying at La Posa North in Q. Some help would be wonderful! Also, we haven't met any other Foretravel owners IRL.
You would probably be able to find at Home Depot or Lowes and probably cheaper than Napa.
Might that regulator be the same on our 1993 U300? If so, maybe I ought to get one and then when it eventually warms up I can change it out one line at a time so I can't screw it up. The coach is in the storage lot for the winter, and I would assume it is pretty much all the way down. I think I could get under there without too much trouble.... Hmmm, maybe Jo Ann ought to be along just in case she has to drag me out.

Its the same on our U300....

Your in flea market city, check them for the regulator and metal for more blocks,Lake Havasue has a Harbor frieght.
If you still need help, JR at OFF THE GRID RVs is 1 mile north of town on 95. He full times in his Foretravel on site.
Ok, great! Thanks for all of the info y'all. I looked all over Q for the part and no one has it. Had to go to Napa in Blythe to get it. I'm looking up how to install it now and just may look for JR for some help.
I'm installing the part and almost done. Why do these instructions say to remove the knob? The ķnob was on the old one.
For exactly the reason it says: "To assure tamper resistance".
To prevent anyone from changing the set pressure, you would remove the knob. Since that is not a major concern in this instance, leave the knob in place, and don't worry about it.
Thanks for the quick reply! The repair is all done! Pictures of the new part installed are attached.
Thanks all! I owe you lunch!
