This may sound like a silly question, but what adapters (if any) are needed to connect to existing Foretravel battery cables to lithium batteries?
If there are bolts on the lithium battery posts, how long are they?
This is what I have now. My six golf cart battery bank has been reduced to 4 good ones and one is leaking...
Most lithium's have either studs or internal threads for bolts. Your cables would not need the adaptors that are on one of your batteries to go to your cables. You can use any length bolt on the internal thread ones. Don't know how long studs are as I don't have them.
It may depend on what brand of lithium batteries you use. The Battle Born batteries I went with use flat posts with a 5/16" bolt. The bolts go through the flat posts, so if the ones that come with the batteries are too short you can use longer ones. From your picture, it looks like some of your battery cables have the right connectors while others have clamp type connectors. There are adapters available to connect those cables to flat posts, or you could elect to replace the ends on those cables.
The post batteries in his post have adaptors on them and his cables would work fine.
Looks like I need some maintenance on my eyes.
My Ampere Time lithium batteries had 8mm 1.25 pitch bolts. This is very close to 5/16. I used my original negative and positive cable ends with the supplied bolts except where I had additional connections and went with studs and a nut. Batteries will vary some by manufacturer, but your original cable ends should work, at least mind did.
