Title: Driver pedestal
Post by: dlkj07 on March 09, 2022, 07:37:04 pm
I've had a ton of posts today, but I did finally get my coach back from the shop so trying to get things in order. Is this box supposed to mount next to the driver's seat? It was shoved under the coach in one of the bays and it has some short bungee cord handles like hold it to the floor and then a 4-pin wiring harness as a plug. I'm just not seeing where it mounted. It's just two sheet metal screws holding a bracket down for the little rubber handle so I just I could just stab it into the floor where I think it goes. That's if I want to use it, it does seem like it would be in the way every time you want to get out of the seat hence the quick rubber handles for quick disconnect.. but even then seems annoying

I have something like that between the curb side wall and the passenger seat.  Do you have anything there currently?

This looks unlike a Foretravel cabinet, perhaps a prior owner's handiwork.  My guess is a driver's seat right side stand. Pull out coffee mug holder, room for "stuff". Flip-up top/tray.  Look for where it was attached.

I think it was just screwed down through the carpet next to the driver seat, I'll take a closer look at it this weekend. There should be a 4 pin plug somewhere under the seat.

I believe my drivers seat is a one off too, it has air like a big rig seat with all sorts of adjustments.

I have that too, what I have is custom built by the original owner. Its supposed to mount on the right side of the drivers seat. I've placed it there just to see how it fits and it really impedes your egress while getting out of the seat.

My Liberty had a wrap around console affair. It was a pain to navigate and the holder wasn't deep enough for my wine glass
