I finally got the time to redo my floor and its real nice.
the flooring guy worked on it for 2 weeks.
very meticulous and pays attention to detail.
initially was going to take out the carpet only but we discovered that the tiles were not cut straight and we had to make a 2 inch adjustment towards the cabinets.
once we made that cut we noticed the tiles close to the carpet were moving and given the fact that one of the bathroom tiles was cracked we pulled a few and then all.
had to reroute 2 romex cable in the bedroom trough the outside of the engine box under that heat blanket and had to cut the cockpit panels about a quarter inch to make sure that the floor went under the panels.
everything was mitter cut and glued,
now I have to clean everything and put it back togheter.
I would like to clean the shades in the process as well any good pointers would be greatly appreciated.
My OEM Day/night shades cleaned up very well with Dish Soap and water. (Take them down and wash in a big utility sink) If you have stubborn stains, try a bit of diluted "Awesome" spot remover.
Rinse well, and hang to dry - reinstall.
You will be happy with how much cleaner they look.
And then a year later I upgraded to MCD....
:-)
Good to reroute electrical wires from under carpet.
Surprised they did that.
Flooring looks great
I too was curious about the Romex when I did my flooring also. I added a inch of blue foam insulation to the sides of the bed pedestal which accommodated rerouting the romex in it. Put the same flooring up the sides of the pedestal. Looked good to us.
Nice work. Good attention to detail and it looks good too.
Looks great! I would love to see a completion pic of entire space and cabinetry now that it's done. The first thing on our list is to redo our floors. 😊
Make an appointment, you won't be disappointed
