Looked around a little bit, trying to find a part number for the lighted glass door handle on my 2001 u320. It's been cracked at the top since I bought it so I figured it's time to replace it.

Give them a call and they also include engraving and back color. These are the people who make them
I bought one from Foretravel. It was not expensive— I think about $35. The only problem is the new one is not quite long enough for our 2004 U270, so it does not fit tight. Foretravel parts department said it it is the only one they have.
Purchased my replacement online from "RecPro" SKU: RP-E5500D, $21.95.
Plain clear acrylic bar no "ForeTravel" type.
Was a bit to tight, did a touch of dremel to beveled edge to fit. Easiest repair I had in long time.
Safe travels!
So far I have replaced three clear acrylic assist handles and had to modify the length or end diameter on every one, even tho they were ordered for the coach they were supposed to fit.
Brad has them at FT parts
Yup, and I did get mine at FOT and I still had to make it fit. Seems everybody does their own thing when it comes to putting the acrylic on the coach, or the acrylic shape changes when cooling or hardening or whatever defines the shape.
Installed my new grab handle today. Old one finally broke.
Fits perfectly, red engraving (Foretravel of course!), and the same price.
Thanks Scott,
Jerry
Just as a note, those with the doorbell in the lower housing (I know 2003 falls into this) aren't a standard length. I vaguely recall FT getting that particular version from either Spain or Italy as an entire assembly and have long been without stock of replacements.
Im not a 100% sure of this But seems like they had other lengths that is critical when ordering. They were very nice to deal with.
I did have one complaint. Their shipping was nearly as much as the part.
Also when I changed mine I replaced the incandescent bulb for a LED. I used one of the gold disc LED replacement lights. Being very rouge I ground it down on the bench grinder to make it fit. Lost about 20% of the LEDs and epoxied the ground edges. Unbelievably it is still working wonderfully. I laugh every time it comes on thinking how I butchered that poor little light and it is still working great. You could also go with colored lights in there too for a different effect.
FT stocks them.
I'm on my third or fourth oem handle so just bought some acrylic rod, popped it in the convection oven at 320 degrees, molded to shape, beveled the end and done. 5 bucks. Mtl for next three is on hand. No logo until I get the cnc router set up for fourth axis.
