Good morning everyone,
My wife went to use the washer (WD 802) and it was full of water when she opened the door.
My first thought was a bad fill valve because I've had to change one for the dishwasher at home.
Could there be another cause to this problem?
I did a search and came across a post from Mike with part numbers for some fill valves.
I also went to Splendide website and found a diagram and parts list but no mention of a fill valve.
Thanks
If I recall the valves are at the back where the hoses connect one from hot one for cold. Easy to check they are normally closed. If you can blow air through one it is bad. Had this happen on anothe brand machine. Easy to change. The machine will need to come out to get the top off.
Frank,
The short answer No.
That valve is the only way for water to get to the tub.
On second thought, unless you have acquired a pretty tall male dog
Mike
Thanks Bruce & Mike.
I will see if it happens again when we are done washing. If so will shut off water supply to washer till we get the part and install it.
We went over some bad roads in NJ & NY. Don't know if that had anything to do with it.
Thanks again
Frank
Frank,
Sure this could have something to do with your trouble. If you have calcium build up in the water system the jarring could have loosened some of it up in the piping. If you used the washer and some of these flakes of calcium got under the seat it could be causing the seat to leak by. You may can just use the washer for a couple of cycles and the trash may be pushed on through the washer. If this is the case you need to acid wash the domestic water system with vinegar to clean out the calcium build up.
Mike
We had the same thing happen a couple years ago. It seems like I just ran the washer for a couple of cycles and it never happened again
Frank there are 2 valves they are different for hot and cold
Just got back to the coach . Thanks for the replies. I turned off hot & cold at the manifold before we left. Still have some washing to do tomorrow then I'll see if the washer still fills with water.
I did order this part.
