Title: Stove top cover replacement
Post by: Elliott on May 13, 2022, 07:41:58 pm
The old folding stove top cover in my coach cracked near the hinges so I made a new one out of 1" walnut.

That looks fantastic.  I need to do the same, but woodworking is a bit too precise for my attention to details.

How did you treat/finish the wood?  It seems to match the existing very well.  Thanks for sharing.

It's just black walnut with a oil based satin polyurethane. No stain. I used 330 grit sandpaper between coats.
