Removed the captains chairs in preparation for wood floors. Upon removing the chair platform discovered that on both chairs, the ball bearing rings are no where to be found. This explains why the chairs wouldn't rotate as the 15/16 nut was so tight it took a 24 inch cheater to break it loose. I have never seen this.
Wow.
Agree, never have seen that one.
Wonder if someone along the way removed them???
Wouldn't be surprised if that is what happened. The oversized co-pilot chair in my coach wiggles back and forth when in the forward & locked position. It is a bit of a nuisance but we live with it because we regularly rotate the chair when parked.
To stop the wiggle- or to reduce it- get a 15/16 wrench and from the rear or front which is better accessible, tighten the nut that holds the chair on the base. The chair should have some resistance when you operate the swivel lever.
