We live in our rig fulltime and occasionally we have the need/desire for temporary storage. Daughter in law cooked up a quick trip to San Francisco over Labor Day Weekend. Southwest Airlines had a 2 day flash sale with incredible air fares and we have a niece in SF with a darling boy that my son and family have not met because of COVID. My wife is joining the expedition and I'm staying with coach as we had made our reservations eight months ago and this trip would leave us high and dry for over a week since it means leaving one park early and not showing up at another park in time to validate our reservation in the State Park. All this had to be sorted out in one afternoon.
We have stored our coach three times in the last 20 months, once in the front drive of my son in ABQ, once in a RV park in ABQ, and once in a RV storage facility in Portland (one month minimum and everything runs from first of month, (regardless of how long you want to store.) Security is a concern as we travel with a lot of stuff that is important to us in both pickup and coach.
What short term, temporary storage have you found to work when on the road for emergencies and discretionary situations?
You can put a call out on the Forum and see if there is anyone near where you are that has a spot. We have kept a coach for someone before that had to make a trip back to their home base.

I think most that could accommodate would have no problem with that.

Many years ago, we joined the Elks (BPOE) which all full timers should take advantage of. We have walked into a Lodge and asked if anyone had property where we could store our motorhome and without waiting, one member said sure, we will help a brother (or sister) Elk and let us park for a month in his yard. We plugged in and he would not take anything, so we gifted him on our return.
Many Lodges have RV parking, some dry, some elec only, some with sewer on property, and many are located in safe urban areas close to nearby attractions (check Monterey CA). A few on Oregon coast own full-service campgrounds for members only. All it takes is current membership card to stay if they have space.
A couple of Elks stops over the years, have helped us with problems on the road. Some stops were for a month or so.
No need to partake or enjoy any of the bar drink and smoking that some lodges are know for. We only joined for the parking and have used them many times, although we did not acknowledge our reason for joining.
Lodge costs vary from about $50 to $150 a year, based on their offerings, like swim club, golf course, etc. Some find the least expensive lodge somewhere in the USA to join.
Many Forum members are Elks.
I actually looked into joints the Elks. A little difficult if you are already on the road.
We are boondocker welcome host and we have had a coach for a couple of weeks while the couple flew home to be with mother
who was about to die. For us it was not a problem, the boondocker people don't have to know everything!!

It might help for the forum to know where are you needing storage?
Portland Oregon area, but since we travel from Arkansas to Oregon and places in between was looking for what has worked for others.
My brother works at pacific structures in Oregon City, or. They make the mobile construction office trailers. They have a huge yard. Acres big.
I have used it to turn the coach/toad around when visiting my brother at work when passing though.
I could ask him if the company would be cool with parking your coach there.
We are looking for a place to store our rig for a week or so while we are are on our cruise out of Seattle; September 3-10. We will need to be plugged in just to keep the fridge running.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You could try Gig Harbor RV Resort for a space - and then use "All City" car service to get you to the airport
I stored at "Reliable Storage" in Port Orchard - they have spaces with electric that you might get
both of these are a ways from the cruise docks
this is a bit closer - and they do RV with Electric if they have space available

Hey BigDog, been off the grid for 11 days. Thanks for the reply. We ended up with wife going to San Francisco and me tending coach. We may be in need of storage next summer as son is probably moving then and may need a driver for a long move.
