Title: Air horn hose
Post by: mikerox on August 15, 2022, 05:50:33 pm
I had to remove my right side air horn to repair a patch in the roof in my GV. I noticed when I removed the air hose from the fitting inside the cabinet that it was difficult to loosen because the hose would not swivel on the fitting and it kept like twisting. I did get it off and got my patch fixed and went to reinstall the air horn and I'm having the same problem in reverse trying to tighten the air hose onto the fitting inside the cabinet. I'm concerned that I'm kinking the air hose behind the cabinet in the wall or something. I'm just not sure if it should be looser and swiveling.1st world problems. Any advice is always welcome and appreciated.

Spray the fitting with wd 40 or atf oil and get it to swivel before you reinstall it.
It will twist off and break if not .
You can tap on the end of the fitting nut with a plastic bscrewdriver handle.

Definitely need to get the nut loose so that it will swivel.
