I'd like to know what came with your coach.
When I purchased mine, I received:
- user manual binder originating from FOT
- green book including schematics
- black plastic portable case with sub folders for each component of the coach. This also had the model and VIN on the front
- Maintenance records. I know this varies by owner so not all may have this
Did you get any of these? Or am I fortunate to have some very particular previous owners?
Mine came with a red book, black book and a green book. The green had the original invoice of my coach and showed the trade in amount for the coach that was traded in along with all the warrantee work invoices and added components.
I did not receive the maintenance records from previous owner as I purchased from a consignment lot here in AZ. It did have the black box, that I refer to as the treasure chest, with all manuals, drawings and systems manuals and separate component information. Also included original invoices and options pricing. Mine also had all the build sheets with interior and exterior design choices as it was a custom built coach. I dive into the box frequently....
Ours came with the box of original stuff, and a promise that the fluids were recently changed. No records.
Someday the coach will leave my hands with a log of everything I have done that was more serious than sponge or broom.
We got two notebooks. The black one is what passes for an owner's manual and is pretty much useless. The larger red one has information on everything in the coach. I've kept it updated, so it is as current as can be. A previous owner replaced the radio and changed the information in the red book. When replaced the radio I also changed the information in the book. There was little maintenance information when we got the coach, and I have all of the receipts for what I did or had done. I also have a chart with all of the information on it. I did also get two small books, one to find an Allison service place and one to find a Detroit Diesel service place. They really aren't of much use anymore, but since they don't take up much space or weigh much I still carry them around. The Internet has much more up-to-date information.
I pretty much got a mix mash of papers including service records back to 2009 and a variety of schematic's, most of the manuals for equipment, and some notes. Through this forum and some investigation I have retrieved most things I require. Being the third owner this I what I would have expected
Mine came with the black and red book and a container half full of manuals and the receipts
itemized on what the previous owner had serviced.
