Title: Javelina holding tanks
Post by: Lt403 on September 08, 2022, 08:16:12 pm
Hi everyone
Last time I came up to the coach for a few days , 4 weeks ago, the black water tank sensor was showing an incorrect value. It showed full in red. I knew it only had 5 gallons of water in it because that's what I put in after I dump.
Today when I got to the coach I turned the system on and the entire display was unreadable. 🤬
I turned it off and left to put my new AC cover on.
Came back in about 45 minutes later and turned the javelina back on.
The screen was perfect and my black tank was reading correctly.

Any ideas?
Loose wire or connection behind the display? Something more complicated?

Frank,

It may be that you have a bad pressure transducer on the black tank or there is effluent that is causing a bad pressure reading.

Thanks Mike

I've read about those pressure transducers on the forum. Not repairable and new ones are nonexistent.
I thought it was toast when I was at the coach the last time  and now what happened today.I guess it's OEM equipment even though my screen display has been changed.

After I rebuilt the toilet back in Jan I started working on cleaning the tank.
Everything was odorless.

You may just need to pull the transducer out and give it a good cleaning as that has helped others.  As far as a replacement you will need to be do some research and find out who made them. (Look for some info printed on it while you have it out) You may be able to cross it to a new number. Neither Javelina or FT made them so they were sourced from someone. Like a lot of parts on these coaches you just have to nose around for a replacement at a fair price.
