Title: Central Florida Hurricane
Post by: 18360 on September 27, 2022, 05:04:13 pm
We are in Central Florida about 60 miles northeast of Tampa where the hurricane is going to hit.
We are good on everything.  I was just wondering about the toilet in case we lose power.
It's the original Microflush 12 Volt DC one.  So can I assume that it is powered by the house batteries.  And is there any way to operate it manually.
My diesel is full, my fresh water and propane are just about full.  I will dump our stuff tomorrow AM.
Anything else that I am missing.
    Thanks

Yes, your 12 VDC toilet will work off your house batteries (assuming the batteries are above 12 VDC/not dead.

If you start your generator, your inverter/charger will charge that same battery bank as well as power your A/C and other 120 VAC items.

Hate to be sending it your way, but since we are in Fort Myers, not sure there is an option.

My brother and sister-in-law just evacuated Venice!  Headed northeast where they have family with a condo at which they can stay.

I took before pictures.  I'm hoping the after pictures will be the same.  We shall see.
