Title: Dash air for Aqua hot
Post by: Peter on October 03, 2022, 07:35:57 pm
In reading a post by Roger and Susan I thought I might do the same thing for  the dash air activation when using the aquahot to shut off the dash air. The pics Roger presented were very good so I opened my dash to look. I do not see the same set up as pictured and see 3 relays In the general vicinity. which am I looking for?
Also I noted 2 switches located and attached to the dash closer to the drivers window. What are these for???

On mine the switch on the left is for setting the idle speed on the engine. Each time you click it, it
changes the RPM 25 RPM up or down. The other I gather is for diagnostic use.

Peter, the relays you are looking for are most likely screwed into to the hvac box cover, behind the center console walls/under the slide out tray.  At least that's where they are on my '01.

I don't see any there ( see pics). Other suggestion?
Also, is that hole in the top of the air distribution box supposed to have a hose on it? It looks like it may have had one at one time

I believe the '01's had a change in the system. I saw Roger's picture on his '01 where the relay was and it is not the same on my '99

I believe that's correct. The best thing to do would be to review the wiring diagrams for the two different years to determine the similarities and the differences in the wiring.
