Title: Recliner replacement
Post by: Elliott on October 17, 2022, 12:16:03 pm
I know some of you have replaced this recliner with a swivel type + ottoman. Which one/brand did you go with and would you do so again?

Elliot.  So if you do find a suitable replacement I'd be interested in the old one.    Don't know if shipping would be a deal killer,, probably so.

We don't have a slide so not much room for a swivel chair. And the arms of mine are toast.

Mine's in great shape... doesn't get used much by us. Where are you located?

Elliot.  PM sent.

Ours was bad when we bought and I wasn't able to slow the process much.

Elliott, we went with the RecPro electric recliners and after some issues with the faux leather peeling and the fact that they would not warranty this, I would not recommend them again.  Believe that crappyworld is selling the same under another name.  So buyer beware!

Elliott,

I love my Ekornes which I bought about five or six years ago.  It is not overly large which is nice since I have no slides.  Ekornes are a bit pricey but if you are lucky like I was you can find a very reasonable one on Craig's list.

Ours came with a swivel recliner and foot stool, which was new or reupholstered and I can't find
a name on them. I like it and it is really comfortable but it's in the house as I like everything bolted
down.

Did you sneak in my coach and take that picture?  Looks just like mine.  Ugly but very comfortable.

Elliott, I demo'd and tossed the goofy, useless chess table and the recliner on the pax side.  Replaced it inch-for-inch with a fireplace and 42" tv lift cabinet after seeing Chuck (Balcanthez) coach's tour and at Q.  Purchased a chest of drawers from a recycled furniture store on FB and spent a week or so in the remod.  Tossed the couch on the slide-out and replaced it with 2 RV zero clearance recliners from Amazon (they are amazing beds when fully reclined...DAMHIK).  The original AH register still resides under the fireplace/tv cabinet and the fireplace electric heat element is great supplemental heat source when plugged in.  It's made the front 1/3 of the coach into a truly cozy living room.  PM for details if interested.  Please excuse the "work in progress" mess in the pix.  Woody.

I replaced mine with stressless recliner and ottoman. We have used them since March and like them so far. I don't have a slide. I removed my couch and put another stressless recliner there.
I hope this helps,
Ron

We have a Lafer "Gaga" in our non slide coach. The chair is small and open in stature yet comfortable, a little on the pricey side, we found ours through a wholesaler and saved a little.

Photos would be most helpful Ernie!  Still making a decision on either keeping the sofa and building a tv lift on the passenger side with fireplace or moving the two recliners we have now into the slide where the sofa is now!  Decisions, decisions!

We had one of these, on the advice of David Flanagan.  Loved it! VERY comfy, smallish footprint, never had to tie it down!

Since we have no slide, the street side aqua hot is under the sofa. I'm going to make a box with the same flooring we used in the Coach. On top of that will rest a small electric fireplace. I have a coach to do first then in a few weeks, the remodel will start
