Title: Foretravel Inspector Needed in Nacogdoches
Post by: wog099 on October 18, 2022, 05:23:12 pm
After a year of so off from my Foretravel search, I am back now.  Today I looked at a few Foretravels 1997 to 2004 at MHOT.
I need an inspector to check one out for me before purchasing and saw on the forum that Keith Risch can not do inspections, and I called to talk with him to verify if he could or could not; and was told that he no longer works at MHOT.
Does anyone know how to get in touch with him, or can someone steer me to another good inspector near Nacogdoches, TX.
Thanks,
Wade Griffin

We can put you in touch with Keith, but MOT will not let him do inspections for coaches on their lot unfortunately.

That's BS, IMO

Do you know if MHOT will allow inspections to be made on consignment motorhomes off their property?  I will test drive another MH there tomorrow and will ask about their inspection process.  I am not a diesel mechanic and really do not know anything about diesel pushers, so will have one inspected before I purchase.  (I have a gas MH now and am fairly familiar with it).
Thanks,

I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to your question. You will have to ask MOT.

I did test drive another Foretravel at MHOT this afternoon and asked about their inspection process.  They do allow inspections to be performed on their lot by an independent inspector, and they also have two employees who will do an inspection.
They will not allow Keith to do inspections and it seems to be some "bad blood" between them.
Our salesman mentioned using nrvia inspectors, Clyde Tew from Shreveport and their two employees.
I have not decided on a particular MH to be inspected yet.
Thanks,
