Title: Bedroom TV flat-screen conversion
Post by: Elliott on October 24, 2022, 04:07:52 pm
I finally finished this one off last night. It was a little tedious but turned out well I think. Total project cost was about $300.

The rest was just black walnut with a clear satin poly on it (no stain). I did have to try a couple different mounting arms before I found one that had a shallow enough working space to clear the overhead cabinet in front of it.

There are a few things I'd wish for a do-over on but am smart enough to not point them out for others ;)

Does it have some way to lock in place while driving?  Looks nice!

Just friction at the joints on the arms and there's plenty of it, I'm pretty confident it won't wander on me but I'll report back if it does.

The first arm I tried had a lock on it but was too long and I couldn't clear the overhead cabinet in front when pulling the TV out: Amazon.com: Mounting Dream UL Listed Lockable RV TV Mount for Most 17-43... (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077Z7NVBK)

If I wanders just tighten it up and it will be good. My front one doesn't move any more.
