I'm past due for coach batteries and I went to my local O'reilly's but was told they are on back order and they don't know when they will be available. Has anyone tried to buy any lately? How long has this been an issue. Anyone know of decent deal on anything else that's worth considering?

Checked here in yuma said they where available 2 weeks ago. But they wanted to change freight 200+ on each battery. With that said I did not talk to the store manager.

The posted price on the O'Reilly AGM8D has jumped up $100 since the last time I looked at them. They are no longer the "bargain" they used to be.

The O'Reilly AGM battery is made by East Penn. You might inquire at the nearest East Penn distributor to see what they want for the same 8D battery. If you could arrange to pick them up yourself you could avoid the exorbitant shipping charges.

Other factors to consider like will your current setup charge these ok, probably need to replace isolator but I would use 2 of these.

Does anyone have any thoughts on Interstate batteries? The guy here quoted my $470 a few weeks ago. The way things are going they could be more now.

I've looked at those, but really couldn't find any info on them, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them.
I bought 3 Lifeline 8D's two weeks ago from BDBatteries.com. At the time, there was a 20% off coupon that resulted in them being $660 each with free shipping, no core due. May be worth a call to see if they would still honor that with Black Friday coming up and all.
We bought two 8D batteries from O'Reilly's at the end of September. Cost was just over $500 each, installed.
I paid 400 each 5 years ago, I guess relatively it could be more. I hope they stay available and with a reasonable price as that is what I hope to buy again IF pricing doesn't go off the chart.
Not only are they back ordered, they've gone up $50 since last week.
My dad put one of the Renogy's in his FT (Old gel was tested completely dead) and the fit was the same as the originals. No boondocking on them, but for the price, they're pretty good. Renogy has a decent reputation as well.
Well, since O'reilly Agm's are unobtainium, I decided to try the Bright way 8D's. I just didn't want to lay out the cash for the lifelines. Hopefully I will get decent life out of these, they're made in China. I'm not thrilled about that aspect but we'll see how they hold up. The Renogy's are made in China also but as far as I can tell, they only come in 4D at 200 ah. The Bright ways are 250.
