Completed my winter prep etc for coach storage but have a question. I noticed when I had the AC shrouds off this summer there was a space you could see into the coach from above. Has anyone operating in winter conditions( and not using the heat strips) put insulation in the AC covers in the coach to stop drafts? I think it would make sense but am looking for some confirmation on this
The big majority of us don't frequent climate conditions like where you live Peter and that is likely the reason for no reply BUT I have traveled in those conditions and I can imagine your need. I wonder about covering the outside ac cover vents. If your going to be sitting still all winter getting something to stay put shouldn't be difficult, driving I would have to rethink that because the adhesive required would likely leave tracks on the covers. I imagine it's colder than a witches heart there now.
Peter I don't think you should be able to see into you coach from outside. I would think something
is missing.
I would just take off the inside air diffuser and stuff insulation in the hole and put it back especially if it's that cold outside. Not hard to remove or with the filter screen down just stuff it in there. You can see to the inside from the top when you look through the squirrel cage fan.

Thanks. Just what I thought. I will put insulation in the inside after taking the vent cover off. My intentions never were to put insulation in from the outside. Every bit helps. -24 celcius ( -11f) here today......just lovely lol
I'm glad you brought this up Peter as I went out and checked mine and all there is between the
inside and out side is a piece of tin with a tiny hole at a seam. The insulation needs to be pushed
way up so it also plugs the vent lines.
The big fan in the kitchen also needs to be insulated and I cut a piece of bubble wrap and stuck
in there. I also have I and 2/3rds bubble wrap on the windshield and if I was staying put I would
more.
Peter
So many little areas that get forgotten because few have to worry about the frosty temps here in Canada
Thanks about the big fan in the kitchen....forgot about that as well
Also, there are spaces to the outside in the drivers area when the panel is removed ahead of the pedals...again, every bit counts!
