New Owner
I have a 2000 U270 - it has a Xantrex inverter / charger.
Recent trip - boondocking - genny kicked on automatic a few times the first night. The battery status monitor will show LO and I had to manual kick the genny on for a few hours and can not get it over 30%, (why didnt it kicked on) we drove for 700 miles and did not get over 30% - it has been plugged into 50amp in my barn for 20hrs and still wont get more than 30%
New house batteries installed 9/22 at MOT before my purchase.
I do notice the the Xantrex remote panel automatically switches from charge light being on to its being off.
Please see all the pictures of the status menu of the battery monitor
We are plugged into 50amp
Please advise - do I need a new inverter?
To get the true SOC (state of charge) you almost have to disconnect the negative lead from your batteries and let it settle for 1 hr. Then get a voltage reading with a voltage meter. Otherwise the charger and loads that are on the battery will throw off the true reading. May be a problem with the battery monitors? Looks like it is showing 13.75 voltage and fully charged led acid at rest is 12.8V. I would do this 1st.
Us RV owners always think the worst when something is off. That being said that might be OEM equipment.
Xantrex has a good hotline service
First, I'd disconnect and clean those battery terminals. A loose or corroded terminal or terminals will cause all kinds of havoc. If you still have issues, call Xantrex support. They are good at diagnosing that stuff. 1-800-670-0707
I think the battery monitor needs to be synchronized to the capacity and condition of the new batteries. Xantrex tech support can walk you through this.
You'd think MOT would of cleaned up all the battery terminals after they installed new batteries!
For the time being I would get those batteries charged up with a portable charger especially being new and expensive.. Sitting ran down is hard on a battery.
Terminals look horrible. Get a good wire brush and battery terminal cleaner. They make a special brush for the inside of the terminal battery should be good since they are new but I would clean them too. After you get it all back together spray battery terminal protectant on every terminal. Poor job at MOT.

I agree with what others are saying and also am amazed they did not clean those terminals. Now maybe they did clean the inside hole areas and the pictures are deceiving, but from what it looks like it would be the first place I would check.
I will get all cleaned up-
Xantrex did help me resync - all is good now
All is good now - thank you to all
Now on to buy a DC transfer switch to eliminate the HUMM.
