Title: 2006 Nimbus
Post by: TomandJulie on December 08, 2022, 06:34:14 pm
Good Evening! Tom and I have been looking at equipment auctions. This evening we came across this website cheapestautosale.com  There is a beautiful 34' Nimbus 2006 does anyone have an opinion on this site? Or this motorhome?  We have searched the web and the site might be legit?
Please someone buy this and tell me what the outcome is 😁

Quick Google search for that domain indicates it's a scam/fake auction site.

From Reddit  Another fake auction website e cheapest repo echeapestrepo : u/Big-Fee-5881 (https://www.reddit.com/user/Big-Fee-5881/comments/z6f295/another_fake_auction_website_e_cheapest_repo/:)

this is a fake auction website, these people really need to get jobs. this is the car scam, the items dont exist and they want you to wire them money.

Thanks Michelle!  I couldn't find anything on it. I finally found my motorcade directory and the motorhome listed has a number on it that is current.

The coach may exist, but the scam site does not have it.  They likely content-scraped photos and details from an old legitimate ad for it.  Used to be a common Craigslist scam.  I wouldn't bid on any listing on that site.

I have actually seen instances of the scam where they scrape the entire site and just rebuild it on their own web server, with a hot wired payment button. It allows them to spin them up really quickly and "stay on the run".
