After 23 years the insulation in the engine bay was flaking off, so removed and installed new the sides are 20ga mild steel so the magnetic backed lights stay were you stick them, insulation is 1" of Rock Wool, hope that will be enough, the top hatch is a sheet of 5052 Aluminum with 1-1/2 x2 angle with 2" of Rock Will still have a little clean up to do, I still need to check the area with thermal thermometer while cool and then take out for a ride and check again
Really nice job, first class........ well done! ^.^d
Cleanest engine bay I have ever seen! Very slick!
Looks great, clean work that took time but I'm a wiper and I would have an endless job wiping what ever speck lands on the wall. Again, nice work. Would look great at night with the lights on making the white glow..
Wowwwwzeeee I bet your neck/back are aching
Everyone who works on that engine from now on will be eternally grateful for the bright surroundings.
Are you leaving the magnetic lights in place or are they only deployed when you need them?
thanks folks, no I think i will take the lights down when they are not needed, the paint i used is appliance epoxy, so I am hoping clean-up will be a simple wipe down, thanks again i am pretty happy with it
Nice job 👍 I see your AC works as good as mine
Looks hospital clean in there.
I think the bar just got raised on engine compartment makeover's. I'm impressed!
