My silver Leaf has been acting up. It has been slow and sometimes when I stop it will be still
reading some speed. Different things seemed to jam up. And this trip it wouldn't work at all
just the program would come up but no readings. Any ideas.
dbl check the connections... make sure other programs are not running in the background of the tablet.
Curious if you are running version 3.x or version 4.x of the software? I had issued with 4.x, called Silverleaf and they said with the age of my coach (2003), I should be running the latest 3.x version. Since using that, no issues. I keep 4.x installed so I can view/clear codes, but that's the only time I launch it.
Sorry Keith but I don't know what version. I called Silver Leaf yesterday and he went through it
with me. He sent me the drivers and said to reload them and if that doesn't work try a new
cable. He was quite helpful and ran me through a lot of things.
Open the software and click HELP > ABOUT. That's generally where the version is shown on all Windows programs. I don't have mine open right now, but I'd bet that's where you will find it.
I just checked and can confirm that's where it is in version 4.x. I'm running 4.0.7 without issue (that I'm aware of) on my 2001.
When I was having issues with 4.x, the speedometer reading was glitchy. It would jump around a few mph. When I called Silverleaf, they suggested running 3.x. After doing that, no more issues. It's easy enough to install both and run whichever you choose...they can both be installed at the same time, just not run at the same time. For anyone having an issue with an older coach, it's worth trying IMO, since it did fix issues I had.
I am running 3.x and I just bought a new USB-A/B cable and it's working again. Thanks everyone
for your input.
I put the new cable in the proper route and I found out why I wasn't getting any signal, it was that I
needed an extension when I hung the computer from the top of the windshield and the connection
came apart.
