Title: switch
Post by: oldmattb on January 16, 2023, 04:38:07 pm
simple and dumb question...

The switch panel in the dash has three switches, one for interior lights, one for the porch light (now an on-off with no touch operation), and one I labeled "step."

What should the one I marked "step" do.  I am confusing it with a step switch on our previous coach that activated several lights.  Is the switch on the FT just to illuminate the little light in the step well?

I have thought about this for a few weeks now, and I am ready to seek professional help!

On my 295 it lights the light in step well and lights under kitchen cabinets under the toe area and same under bath vanity.

My U320 does the same and I just found that a couple of weeks ago. For some reason I turned on
the step light and went back in the bedroom to get something and coming out of the bedroom I
notice the light under the toe area and then the kitchen toe area. I've had the coach for 3 years and
never new the lights were there.

On a recent trip, I was marveling at the automatic light for our trash can pull-out under the sink.  "How thoughtful - they address every detail!"

Then one morning it wasn't working!!!  I investigated the problem.  The "problem" was that I had not opened the little blind over the sink, so the sun could shine THROUGH the sink into the cabinet.

Yep.  Sometimes not too observant before my morning coffee.

I had kind of forgotten about the floor level lights.  I thought they were with the under cornice lights, which I have labeled BCWW.

Bow-chica-wow-wow, as a local friend called them.  That 70s wah-wah electric guitar.  Apparently in rural Illinois, the phrase is "brown chicken, brown cow."  Mood lights.  I guess when given the alternatives of pron music or references to the mating of livestock, I will stick with "mood lights."

The stairwell light is working now, BTW.  Dead bulb replaced.

The lights under the sink are controlled by the right door only.
