Time for us to get new tires and wondering what others here have done to get the best discounts? FMCA, Coach-net or any others? TIA, Richard.
Ask independent tire shops that do a lot of trucks/buses what they sell and costumers are happy with and then check Check for Recalls: Vehicle, Car Seat, Tire, Equipment | NHTSA (https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls) for recalls, user complaints, etc. Just enter the tire manufacture, model and you can see if there are any problems with the particular tire you are interested. Then call around, check online to get the best price mounted, taxes, disposal fees, etc they charge. Cash is king. I bought a set of 295/75R22.5 in H load, M speed rating for $300/ea mounted, etc. cash out the door. Very happy with them, especially compared to our Coopers.
Any person can enter a complaint about a tire and it will appear on the government web site.

Richard, the very best discount (better by far than FMCA) for MIchelin brand tires is National Tire Concierge Service, Dave and
Wendy Ward, 321/607-2265, 321/747-8465.
They are Michelin resellers, not dealers and deal direct with Micheling as does the Prevost seated bus folks. Dave can talk tires with you and provide two additional services. One is a 3 year wheel and tire road hazard warranty for $20 per tire and the second is sign you up for free to Michelin OnCall, a 24/7 roadside service for MIchelin brand tires. Call them where ever you are and they will have your size tire at your coach in usually less than 2 hours. The new tire is at NTCS price, not retail.
I had a Newell with a bad 365 steer tire call me as he had spent 2 days calling warehouses and dealers. All said they do not have one and do not expect to get one. Dave had one there the next day and someone to put it on.
Dave got Michelin to find 4 heavy duty tires for my Prius in California. Michelin said it would cost $200 to ship them from California to Houston. Michelin said they would pay $100 if I paid the other $100 or we could wait a month and get a fresh tire from the next factor run, which we did.
He and Wendy are the best.
Dave, that sounds like a too good to be true deal. Where did you get your tires and what brand? We are also looking.
We had terrible customer service with Michelin, despite a great effort from a dealer, when we had a nearly new tire unwind one of its ribs. I covered this in detail on this site back in 2017 for anyone interested.
We are looking at Goodyear. or Toyos but would consider another brand.
Dave at national tire concierge as Rudy mentioned above can get good deals on Michelin and BFGoodrich, I am in the process of getting tires for my Cadillac right now, will get them Monday, yes he can get you car/truck tires too. His price beat discount tires..

I spoke with Wendy at National Tire Concierge Service and they only sell Michelin. We are looking for the Toyos - I saw prices per tire but not out the door prices that I could use for comparison.
If anyone has recently gotten the Toyo tires I would be interested to know what you paid. Thanks.
There's a couple replies regarding recent purchase of Toyo Tires.

As Rudy and Keith mentioned, Dave is the best. We are FMCA members and he still got the tires we want for less money and they will be going on Tuesday for our trip up to PEI, Ca!
From a prior post:
I bought my tires from Tires Direct.
Free delivery.
$408.00 each.
Toyo M170 all position 295/75/22.5 LR-H
Paid a local tire service (mobile truck) installed them at my shop for $300. Also installed centramatics balancers all the way around. They ride as good to me as the Michelin XZE that I ran for 50,000 miles.
Just put on some new tires from Dave and Wendy Ward. They could not have made this whole experience any easier. I got a set of Michelins for about the same price as a discount tire. The warranty and service make it totally worth it.
We bought Toyos in 2022 after having Michelins before, and these Toyos are fine. Ride is as good at the Michelins, and the price was significantly less.
Did you get them thru Dave and Wendy?
