This may be a dumb question, but I can't find the answer anywhere. It is not even clear in Aquahot manual or other forums. If I have zero water onboard, meaning all water lines are totally empty, is it safe to run the Aquahot system for heat? As far as understand the system doesn't need water in the lines, but I just want to confirm this. I'm not talking about the water/antifreeze mixture for the system itself. I'm talking about onboard potable water for the sinks, shower, toilet. Lines completely empty. If someone can please verify this for me it would be very helpful.
Thanks
Yes you can run the Aqua-hot when it is winterized, in fact Rudy recommends that you run
the Aqua-hot at least once a month. If you read the post, Is it ok to run Hydro Hot on a winterized
coach, just below your post you will be able to find out more.
oldguy, thanks. I just needed some clarification on this. I'm having a bit of a crisis at the moment, so i will read the post later. I appreciate the fast reply.
mm1313,
Just a FYI, no matter how much you drain, blow out, or how ever you drain your domestic water system the A/H loops will still have water trapped in the heating loops. With this you need to either pump in RV antifreeze or run the A/H to keep it above freezing.
