Hello,
I'm NEW to the Fore Travel forum.
I've posted that I'm looking for a EARLY 80's FT 40ft. project or a nice FT,... nothing yet .
How many early 80's are on the road, going places ??
I'm curious?
Picture's of your FT coaches would be GREAT !!
Thanks in advance.
Our 86 grandvilla. 33 with tag axle. All original. We take 2 trips per year for a total mileage of 6-8,000 miles
We have an 84 38 foot that is in need of repair. Located near Tampa Florida.
I have a 1987 Gran Villa, 79 000 miles on it. Newer engine, newer tranny, most of the systems are newer, everything works. It is built like a tank. Nothing rattles going down the road. I like the vintage stuff because darn it most of the older stuff out there is just built better and lasts longer. Took me forever to find this little gem. It was worth the searching. If I had to do it over again I would still look for something older because I know it would be built solid. Only problem is it's a challenge sometimes to locate parts for it. Everyone who sees the inside of my coach falls in love with it. Up to you if you want to buy one of those rolling Vegas whorehouses inside or if you want a solid well built coach built to last.
I use mine about once a month for towing our race cars . We run about 10 -20K per year . Love it . Gunna paint it soon.
It's not the 80's you were looking for but....
There's a '93 GV on Facebook right now that is a project, but not in bad shape going by the photos.
It's a steal at $5,500.
Look for Zachary Foley on the Foretravel Owners FB group.
I know nothing about it and have no connection to the owner or seller, just to be clear.
Sent you a PM. 89 U280 40' You can drive it home.
