Just curious, where does the air purge get the air from? Just asking because I went to purge, the light came on (yellow) but nothing happened, then light eventually went out. Tried it twice. I have used in many times before but this time I have no air in my tanks so was wondering if that why it's not working...or am i now chasing down an electrical problem.
Got it purged 👍
Does this look like it's working properly? Just wondering if the sight glass should have more diesel in it while running. This was on high idle about 1000.RPM.
Feel like it just on the edge of pulling air if that diesel drops any lower while running...or.maybe I don't know how this works and I'm off in my thinking.

The air purge starts the electric pump in your fuel filter system and pumps fuel though your filters and back to the tank and I used to bleed the filters and used it a couple of times when it wouldn't start. My site glass usually was about
3/4 full but I guess if the top was pulled off and you could pour diesel into the screen filter up to the top and that should get rid of the air.
The filter is one piece top not removable.
Once I purged it, the sight glass was 3/4 full of diesel with engine off. It was when i started up the coach when the level dropped which shows in the video.
I meant the metal part that has the O rings in it.
Just curious if my video link in post #2 is working for those of you who click on it. I've done video links like this before and some have mentioned that it doesn't work but some do.
...and just to clarify, is the level of diesel in the sight glass where it's supposed to be while the engine is running or should there be more.
The video works. When I start the engine again i will look at mine.
I'm not able to access your video but I can tell you that my prefilter runs pretty low while the engine is running. I used to worry that I had leaks in the lines but the engine runs strong and never stumbles so I stopped worrying. The attached photo is with engine idling.
Thanks, that's even lower than mine. I also never had any issues or stumbles while driving...just wouldn't start if I was pointed nose down for a day or two. Hoping that the bad o-rings I replaced corrects that and my fuel lines are not the culprit.
