Title: “Air” button on HWH panel not working
Post by: Larry Rubin on April 15, 2023, 09:57:58 pm
Troubleshooting help needed on my 2004 295.

The HWH air button all of a sudden will not work.  It worked fine earlier today but after an hours drive, it won't light the indicator light nor after a second press start to level.

Travel mode and the dump and raise buttons work normally.

I've tried the HWH reset button and hear a relay click but no change.

Something else happened but I don't see how it could be related.  After failing to level, I turned off the engine and then tuned it on again but then could not get into gear-got the flashing 6.  I I've seen that before and looked to see if both slides were fully in.  The rear was out a small amount and after deflating the bladder, pressed retract until the red light went out and turned off the key.  It would then go into gear normally.  Never seen that happen before.

Sounds like you may have blown a fuse in your HWH control box downstairs. Need to get in your book to locate and look at the fuses
This may also have something to do with the rear slide creeping out. The bladder would have to be deflated for this to happen I would think. I believe your coach does not have lock pins👍👍

Did someone in Nac buy old Foretravel parts inventory?

I checked with Foretravel parts and used parts places but no luck so far.

Troubleshooting says the switch itself isn't working.  No longer manufactured but HWH repairs them.  I'll be there in a few weeks but I'd like a backup by getting a replacement.

Thanks.  Neither Northwest or Stuart's have it.

About a year ago I tired several times to get with HWH to get a replacement panel for ours as several of the buttons were acting up and the cover had cracked holes in it....HWH never called me back after I left no less than 3 messages. Every time I got put on hold, they never would pick up. I know lots of folks here speak highly of them, but I personally was treated worse than dog poo on a shoe...Multiple times..

I took matters into my own hands....there is not that much to that console.  The switches themselves. are very simple circuit board type micro switches that are soldered onto a board. You can buy a variety pack at Amazon for peanuts, but then have to have solder skills to replace them. As for the overlay I just got a sheet of adhesive based plastic laminate and overlayed on top of my OE cracked bezel.

Would love to have had a full new replacement, but obviously HWH only wants the $  of occasional callers.

Not sure if this  is the exact set I bough or not but they are like these....you want momentary contact switches.
