I now have the old javelina monitor out of the front dash. The monitor has a small black box attached to it with red and black wire which I presume is the power to the crt. The red and black wire run along and then are connected to a green and a white wire ( see pics of the connectors) is the red a wire a constant 12 volt power source and the black the ground?? If this is the case I will just connect the constant power on for the new monitor to the red wire and the black together as a ground. But I want to be sure because all the posts I have read do not mention this little black box that was attached to the crt monitor. Any one have first hand knowledge of this??
First thing I would do is put a volt meter on it with ignition on and off.

That little black box needs to be removed. It was the power supply for the old Javelina display. It should be red + 12 volts and the black was ground. I think that the 12 volts was a switched 12 volts. So when you wanted to see the monitor you turned it on.
Thanks!
So now I have further question. I got all the connections hooked up and got all the cameras but can not get the tanks levels to come up. I am using a Bnc to rca connector into a yellow rca cord. The cord also has a red connector to it but I assumed I would not need this as the other end is a 4 pin connector which has power in it. Do I still have to power the red connector it see an image?
