Can anyone tell me what the black knob is for...sorry for poor quality..88 gv. TIA
***I get no response from the knob....I thought it might adjust the size of the light, but it turns with no response***
Here's a guess... Do you have a map light anywhere in the same vicinity? Our coach has a wood map light mounted next to where the spotlight control panel was mounted. The map light has a power switch on the base. The map light power apparently feeds off the headlight switch, because the map light won't work unless the dash instrument light dimmer knob is rotated all the way anti-clockwise.
Took me a long time to figure that one out. :headwall:
It might be a dimmer knob. Try it and see what happens. Some spot lights had to settings for spot or flood.
I tried turning it to no avail...do you have any idea how it adjusted the light and what might cause it to be inop?
On my coach those are the switches/swivel for the spot light on the roof.
I assumed it was for the spotlight, but it doesn't do anything..any idea of it's function?
On my coach one is an on/off switch, try it and look outside at your spotlight. The paddle switch is to move the light back forth and the third is to move it up or down.
On mine, the lil joystick does both up/down and side/side, does yours have an adjustable area of illumination?
ANSWERED...If all else fails, find the manual! The knob I questioned adjusts the speed at which the fixture moves.
