Well this is exciting...solved a problem yesterday, new one pops up today when I wanted to put the slide out. Red Tractor suggested that I pull the various connectors from the box and reconnect which I will try a little later today. Any more thoughts on solving this one? I'll reach out to HWH and maybe get an answer before fall sets in.
That's the way mine looks sometimes. The forward upper sensor or magnet. Just FYI my sensors are in a reversed position being that the upper front is the rear and rear is the front. I usually just lightly rock the forward part of my slide and that resolves it every time. I do carry a spare sensors just in case. Have you tried cycling the side out and back in? Back in to fully compleat the cycle
The slide room is in. I was unable to open it and on investigation, found this status which I assume it why it wouldn't open.
Try repeating the close cycle to reset the locks
Cycled out and in- the room is not moving of course. I can hear the hydraulics start then it limits out and the red light comes on. Pins are not locking. On a positive note I did start up and was able to engage the transmission....so I'm not dead in the water?? but I'm not sure how far I would want to drive when I can see the pins are not engaged.
Good luck with your slide issue. I have the same coach and havre never seen the test panel shown in your picture. Did you purchase it and install?
The slide on my coach seems to lurch and jerk around while the pins lock and unlock. Does yours do the same.? Would have thought it would be smoother. A while back I cleaned out the pin holes in the slide. They were full of gunk. Not sure how far in the pin goes but it seemed to lessen the lurching and jerking a little.
Dan,
Sometimes my travel light does not come on and the dreaded bell rings (my first journey from Austin to the mother ship was that way) . I too can engage the transmission and I have driven as much as an 2hrs until the pin finally finds its way into the hole and the dinging stops. Now that I know better I can usually get it to stop when I slide out and back in, sometimes more than once. This along with driving a short way to move things around a bit has always solved my problem. If I am using the coach I almost never have this problem, usually only when it sits for awhile.
Tommy D, when we first bought our coach, we had the same symptoms. MOT found some of the plastic bushings that are on each end of the slide to be missing or broken. They replaced and much better. Still seems like slide is never perfectly aligned when the pins lock and unlock.
OEM. Im sure you have the same panel. First basement compartment drivers side on ceiling.
Studied schematics today and talked with both Paul Maddox and Paul Yasbeck. The system is not receiving any status from the front top pin. I'll be testing the wires, sensor and magnetic switch tomorrow. I'm confident that will get me to the solution.
UPDATE: Started bright and early to track the fault down. First step was unplug the connections, blow them out with compressed air and plug them firmly back in. Powered the circuit up and viola! It works again. Rarely do I get that lucky in life....I think I will go buy a lottery ticket.
