The frame on a bedroom sliding window came off, due to the reluctance of of thw window to slide (I will take care of that issue with some dry silicone). There doesn't seem to be any old adhesive on the frame, only a flat piece of rubber that was between the frame rail and edge of thw window. Reinstalling it won't hold when pulling on it to slide the window. There doesn't seem to be to be any solution other than to replace that rubber "gasket" with an adhesive (Flex Seal?). I'm sure someone has had to deal with this problem. I always like to ask before doing my own trial and error.
