Hello,
I just purchased a '99 U320 and the HWH leveling system works on automatic or manual to level the coach but will not go into travel modes and resume the OTR ride height. Has anyone had a similar experience or an idea on a possible fix? This is a 600 series system with a tag axle and no slides.
Thank you,
John
Take the cover off the the control box which should be in the right hand side of the big bay in the
front. There is a row of fuses and the rear one should be a 7.5 amp fuse and check it out. That is
the travel ride fuse.
When we bought ours it had the same problem. Finally figured out that the fuse was not blown but wasn't making contact with the prongs. Some emery cloth and no more problems in 8 years.
See the manual linked below. Scroll down to the Control Box Connection Diagram. Find the system Control Box on your coach. Look for an aluminum box on the ceiling or walls in one of the storage bays. Open the box and locate fuse #11 (TRAVEL). If the fuse is blown, replace it. See if that helps.

Thanks folks for the suggestions, I checked the fuse which is fine but I didn't get a chance to clean the contacts as Craneman suggested yet. I do have power at the number 11 fuse(travel) at least on one side. I'll do more checking shortly, any additional guidance is appreciated.
Safe travels,
John
This is all helpful information for me too!
My issue on this past trip was just the opposite, my system will not go into leveling mode. More specifically when I hit the level button it turns red and a second time it is now lightly flickering and none of the other lights turn on as then did before, leaving me in travel mode.
I will be checking fuses today.
Mine does exactly that when the coach is level.
"lightly flickering" is what ours does when level is achieved.
As mine does
In December when I was heading to quartzsite I was at a RV Park in buckeye. I knew I had to get out of the spot as it was somebody coming in right behind me so I fired the coach up waited for it to air up and started driving and immediately knew that something was wrong. The right front airbags weren't inflating and I could hear the tire kind of rubbing on the wheel well every once in a while. I had to bypass the system with the help of the forums, and that got me a hundred miles more West. Never really did figure out why it was doing that but you can easily bypass the system by pulling power from the board and jumping the wires. I thought it was my HWH computer but when I finally did get a hold of their tech support he did not think that was it. Never really did figure it out but you can jump it as long as the travel solenoids are working. There was a post on it. Good luck.
I pulled the labeled travel wires on the front valve and they both had 12 volts going to the solenoids with the key on and the parking brake set, would that indicate an issue with the solenoids? I'm starting from scratch with this RV and leveling system, I have no idea what if anything has been done to service these valves, i've checked the circuits for power in the leveling box and gone over them with the tech from HWH and he said everything in the box checks out good. I'm still hoping for enlightenment.
Thanks,
John
In the hwh box in the bay you have a hot all the time fuse, make a jumper from the hot all the time fuse to the un plugged 2 gray wires marked travel, the coach will go into travel IF the travel solenoids working. Regardless of the lights.
