Title: Another hot water story
Post by: Charlieboise on June 26, 2023, 04:37:03 pm
I was going to reply to an old post  it was suggested I start a new topic.

03 U320. Recent vinegar flush and lines flushed back and forth through the drains in the AH BAY.

That never solved my water pump pulsing and lack luster pressure.

So now when using tank water only we have really  hot water then brief  cold streaks during hot water use at ANY faucet including shower.

Wife says no good so off to the bus I go.

I just replaced the mixing valve guts and that made no difference.

Cleaned all faucet screens repeatedly.

If I run off city water directly I have no issues.

Do I need to replace the shurflo pump
?

Do you have an expansion tank? If so I'd check that as the bladders wear out. If no expansion tank I'd replace the pump, those can also wear out.

I replaced my pump for pulsing a few months ago, with this:

Amazon.com: SHURFLO 4008-101-E65 3.0 Revolution Water Pump , Grey : Automotive (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002XM5G70/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

Charlie,

OEM on a 2003 would have been a variable output AquaJet.  Which model Shurflo is in your coach?

I stand corrected. I have a flojet 4325-143.  Shurflo for my boats. Sorry

Also no expansion tank.

What's the recommend replacement nowadays?

Replacing the pump may solve the pulses  but I don't think it will solve the hot and cold problem.
