I have noticed some window seal seepage on most of my windows outside. There are no leaks anywhere. Am I ok with "slicing" off the excess and cleaning up the goop around windows? Has anyone else had this happen to them?
Peter
It's excess sealant Peter. Scrape it off with a Plastic knife, like a fast food to go sort then clean up the residue with goop or similar. I have some I need to clean up but keep forgetting.
I've noticed that on my coach as well and never thought to mention it. I guess next time I go by a fast food restaurant I'll pick up some plasticware.
No question, trimming with a plastic knife is fast and effective. Finally, a good reason to go to a fast food emporium.
I would not use solvents that could compromise the seal.
Also, not a bad idea to pull the inside trim strip and very gently torque the screws holding inside frame to outside frame. The goal is to have all the screws just barely snug.
