So I have a 2001 U320 and for some reason the generator fires up, But the transfer switch won't switch.... On the Power Monitor for ATS there are faults that show.

The shoreline power works fine. Just on the Gen side no joy. Any ideas. Electrical is definitely not my forte. Thanks y'all
You need to check the voltage from the generator. If it is high then possibly has a bad voltage regulator. You probably have a power tech generator unless someone put in something else. The wiring at a junction box could be bad. If you don't feel comfortable working with high voltage, better take it to someone who knows what they are doing.
How not to change voltage regulator in genset (https://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=32784.0)
So this is a good read on a very bad experience. The replacement voltage regulator is wired different than the original. I even have added a placard to the front of the generator warning this. Seems so simple to just change a voltage regulator and simply burn up your generator. Definitely talk to Jeff. 352-365-2777 Ive never dealt with him but many have And I would not hesitate too. Yes you sound like you have a hi voltage problem.
I absolutely think I could become prey to this trap if others had not suffered threw this and posted. I can change a voltage regulator 👍👍 can't I. Chucks misfortune isn't isolated either.
Now that they don't have any heads available (ask Bruce) more important than ever.
