Our electric entry door step is intermittently malfunctioning. It gets stuck in the out position. I replaced the relay in front of the passenger seat. I have no power on the original 12 V wire going to the relay, however, with a jumper wire, I was able to get power to the relay. The second part of the relay that requires power from the ignition still works, but the step will not come in.

We need to know what year/model coach you have

It could be a misalignment of the door open sensor. The sensor uses a simple magnet to tell the step if the door is open or closed with the engine running. Look at the leading (closest to the coach front) edge of the door frame for 2 white/cream plastic devices - the one on the frame is the sensor and the one on the screen door is the magnet.
For safety purposes, the step is supposed to go out when the door is open. If it doesn't think it's closed (misalignment of the sensor), it will stay out.
Still struggling. I replaced the door sensor which appeared to be not working and step started working. Thought it was fixed, but now it's not working again.
Ok. I determined that the motor is bad. Has anyone had to replace their electric step motor? If so, where did you buy it?
If it is a Kwikee step this is probably the one.
