Title: Side/Rearview Mirrors
Post by: genehorr on August 10, 2023, 12:57:51 am
I just got a report that a contruction truck knocked off one of the side mirrors.  And let the caretaker know about it!  I found a post that lists Ramco as the mirror source but I haven't been able to find a model number.  Does anyone know what that might be?  The coach is 350 miles away so I can't get dimensions and the company is wanting a price for a replacement.

I plan on replacing the other at the same time, as they have quite a bit of pitting on the finish and so they don't need to be exactly like the existing, I am more concerned about bolt holes, electric adjustment function, and size.

Just call Ramco, they'll be able to help identify it over the phone and put a quote together for you. Great people to work with

Chart below shows what is currently available from Ramco.  Pick whatever is closest to what you have.  Call Ramco with questions.

I have problems 35 feet away. Sorry to hear this. My first thought was mount structure damage. May be wise to get a estimate just in case.

I thought all the 90's model Foretravel coaches came with the 6000 Series Ramco mirrors.  Of course, I could be wrong.

The mirrors in the photos in the link below ('97 U320 being parted out) look exactly like the mirrors on our '93 U280 (6000 Series + Optional TopHats).

Maybe the top hat is optional as my '99 doesn't have it.

Chuck I think you're right. When I was trying to source one after a shop knocked my tophat off, I called ramco and told the guy what coach I had and he just needed to know what finish the mirrors had and if they were heated or not, otherwise he knew exactly what mirror it was.

Correctamundo.  They are indeed optional.  Only the really kool coaches have them.  8)

Mine has one top hat and the drivers side fell off and I haven't done anything about it.

Foretravel had a top hat in stock when I needed one last year.
