Good morning everyone,
I'm getting ready to purchase the SeeLevel system and would like to know how others installed the senders on the fresh water tank.
On the passenger side my tank has a horizontal "step" before it goes vertical again.
On the driver side there is a horizontal steel support bar behind the water and electric reel that I think will interfere or damage the sender if I put it there.
Thanks
If you put all the senders on the passenger side and want a second monitor at the dash, you can use the original wires to put one there.
My water tank looks the same. My strips are installed on the flat side of the tank. There was a small access 'window' already there.
I was told by the sea level support guy to slip a piece of rubber between the s level strip and anything you fear would interfere with it. In my case I was concerned about the metal sleeves on the water plumbing. I found what I wanted at home D.
They claimed that's all it took protect the signal.
Now 3 years+ later some of piece's of rubber have come loose but no change in the readings for fresh water. That's where I " thought " I needed them. So.. you should be ok for the sloped end.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
Glad to hear about using the rubber between the metal and senders. Hopefully it will all fit, one way or another and work.
Just got back home so it will be a few weeks before we get back to the coach.
I just installed it on the passenger side above the stepped part of the tank. It does not read the bottom part of the tank, but this way when it reads zero I know I have a little reserve. I like it this way.
