My ORED came with the same oil filters on both the transmission and engine. Seems odd. Both are Cat 1R-0713 equivalents. I haven't seen this before but I suppose it works? Is this normal and can any other ORED owners confirm theirs is the same? The napa part# is 1268
Can't answer your question Elliot but I strongly suggest using the Cat brand filters,at least on the engine, yes they cost more but
a much stronger made filter.
And, call Allison with our transmission model and serial number to confirm correct filter.

OK so I got ahold of Allison and they no longer support this transmission. They handed me off to a company called Weller who does aftermarket support now. Both parties were awesome to work with.
Weller phone number: 800 872 6697
Transmission pan filter part number: 29538489
As for the spin on the filter I was asking about, that is for the oil cooler and it sounds like you can use pretty much anything. The guy at Weller said just take whatever is on there and buy another one and spin that sucker on. All it's doing is catching particles before they get to the oil cooler and it is typically an engine oil filter as was the case on my coach.
When that coach came from the factory it had an AC filter, but I can't remember the number. I am thinking 798 or something like that. It has been too many years for me to remember the number.
