I have a front receiver on my 95 U320.
Can this be used as a lift point?
I need to address some air problems, the right front does not want to raise so the coach is very low to the ground up front. Using the raise feature does not help.
I just need to be able to get my 20ton jack under the frame so I can lift enough to get jack stands in place. I can't get the chassis blocks in place because it won't raise enough. The left front air bag does lift, but torquing and possibly twisting the frame the frame is a worry.
I have a solenoid rebuild kit I would like to install while looking for the problem.
I'd say yes. The hitch is probably rated for a 1000lb tongue weight, which should handle the static weight you would be putting on it. I'm not sure what type of front receiver you have and what it's connected to, but my 91 has 2 receivers on the front behind the bumper that were designed for lifting and towing the coach.
If you have a hitch on the front it was probably there to put a boat in the water and may not be capable of supporting the front end.
IMHO
