Looking for suggestions & referrals for comfortable wall recliners or theater seats for U270.
We took out the uncomfortable couch and have 2 Lazy-boys
MOT Remodeling rebuilt our couch and now it's really comfortable. Trina is a magician.
Definitely DO NOT waste $ on the RecPro junk on Amazon or Camping World. They look okay and are comfortable...for about a dozen reclines, then the faux leather rips apart at the stitches on the arms and seat. My 2 have disintegrated in 6 months. Junk.
Still desperately searching for quality 'Merican-Made genuine leather wall-hugger recliners/theater seating as well.
Following.
Woody is spot on with those RecPro recliners. We have had ours for just over 2 years now and they started to peel off the so called leather on the seats and arm rest by 1st year. Called RecPro, might as well have been speaking to the wall on the building. Zero, nothing, zilch! They would be fine if we got them re upholstered and am considering that option or new chairs!
we went with regular recliners but could get about 2 inches closer to wall with wall hugger--other than that we are satisfied with the cloth covered recliners. DW put slip covers in them to help keep clean
Chris
We went with Stressless recliners with separate foot stools. If we had gotten the ones with the foot part attached I think we might have had a little more floor space. We sure do like them.
With this or any brand (I think Thomas Payne is a popular 5th wheel seating vendor),
be very careful not to choose bonded leather. The vendor will talk it up, but it's basically shredded leather bits stuck together with binder, then rolled into sheets along with a fabric backing. It's junk and it won't hold up.
The U320 we had came with an Ekornes/Stressless recliner and ottoman. We absolutely loved it. They're pricey, but are definitely comfy and we find them much more attractive than the big brown bloated bulbous barcalounger style of most RV recliners.
Are the CamperComfort recliners in the same class as the RecPro? Does anyone have any experience with the CamperComfort?
Ernie, do you have a model for the Lazyboy?
We're in the process right now of removing the jackknife sofa and installing either a dual reclining loveseat or dual singles.
Haven't had much luck finding "standard" home type furniture that will fit our slide.
Our slide base is about 31.5" deep for the platform, and hope to stay in the 36" or 37" total depth.
Given the places that sell it, it might not even be on par with RecPro....
FYI, the higher-end coaches these days are using Villa furniture. Flexsteel has exited the RV furniture market, so that leaves Villa as the primary vendor for better RV furniture.
We have Thomas Payne theater seating with cloth, not leather. It is certainly not the quality of Flexsteel, but they are not bad. The heated seat feature is worthless because it does not heat up hot enough. We did fit them on a slide but added casters under the front where they hang off the slide. The company does stand behind their product during warranty. On the first set we got, the armrests sank in because they are not reinforced well enough, and they sent us two new recliners after we had had the first ones for about 8-10 months. All we had to do was send pictures of the problem. I reinforced the new ones before I installed them. I also reinforced the old ones and sold them at a garage sale. Overall, the seating isn't great but it is acceptable.
We bought this loveseat recliner from Lambright. About $3500 delivered. The middle divider can be up for full loveseat or down.
Has controls on the inside of the arm and has head rest function as well. Very comfortable.
We too installed the lambright houston love seats. Very comfortable for sure. Couple of things to note though. Wall hugger is a bit of a stretch. The base sits more than a foot off the wall and the front is close to a foot off the deck. The 3.5 in deck height won't allow you to put your feet on the floor when sitting if you are average height.
There a not a lot of options for leather or quality genuine ultra leather seats that will fit. We are very happy with ours.
