To clarify - are you looking for a topic you had posted those photos in (a how to use the forum question) or are you looking for assistance in hooking up the batteries (a Tech Talk question)?  If the latter, let me know and I'll split this into its own topic on the subject.

Grizman,

Tell us exactly what batteries you have for HOUSE and for CHASSIS and we can assist.

Too likely a previous owner over the last 33 years has not stuck with the OE battery arrangement to absolutely go by an OE wiring diagram.

Here's a picture of what I have. The white labels on the cables are legible but one positive has a braided sleeve.

OK, those are three 12 VDC batteries.

IMPORTANT-- the below connections assume this is one battery bank= house battery bank. If the three batteries represent two banks (house and chassis) i.e. two are used for one bank and one for the other bank, let us know and we can give instructions for that instead.

Connect them in PARALLEL=

Positive of battery #1 to house positive AND positive of battery #2.
Positive of battery #2 to positive of battery #3.

Negative of battery #1 to negative of battery #2.
Negative of battery #2 to negative of battery #3.  Additionally negative of battery #3 to house ground/negative.

These two banks. I'm assuming the first battery is the starter battery. I've connected 2 and 3 positives together and all three negatives are hooked up. The four cables in this picture are what I need help with now.

Ben,

Old coaches that have passed through many hands can be a challenge.  It's not unusual to find the electrical system has been "modified" from the original factory configuration.  This is not necessarily a problem, but is sometimes tricky to figure out.

The 12V diagram (found in our excellent Forum library) below may not be exact for your coach, but it should be close.  If you can read the white ID label on any of the battery cables, you may get a clue from the diagram as to where they should be attached.  In your case, you would only have 2 coach batteries and 1 engine start battery.
