Title: generator fan not coming on

The generator fan not coming on. I would like to know what this switch does. I found it hanging behind the generator  fan

Pretty sure that " switch" has something to do with the locking system for that compartment door.
 I'd like to know where's the rest of that bird?

I played with the switch and the fan comes on

It's the door lock actuator. It's held on with two sided tape.

Is that a water leak under the hose clamp to the radiator?
