Would like contact information on persons or business that can install new flooring in our motorhome. Haven't decided on which floor yet. Maybe wood laminate or vinyl tile. All recommendations are appreciated.
Bill,
What area of the country are you in?
Spring, TX. Just north of Houston.

Yes, Ernie is the master along with his son.
The new vinyl flooring is pretty impressive stuff. Waterproof and pretty quiet. We installed that in our coach and other than the couple of gaffs I did to it we've had no damage. Ernie is right in your area and does beautiful work. Extra consideration needs to be taken if you have a slide. We are always using our coach in the desert and it's nice just to be sweeper, vacuum it up and then swiffer it.

I'll second that. Brent did our hardwood floor and the details are perfect. The trim around the cabinets is so good that it looks like they were set on top. I would have him do any woodwork that he's willing to do. Excellent attention to detail.
I thought you had your mind set for vinyl tile?
At this point just exploring options. Flooring is one of the biggest changes you can make in the interior of your coach. Just want to get it right. Thanks for the input.
Scott, can you elaborate on "extra consideration" as we do have one slide.
On my 2001 half of what holds the slide vertical is the carpet and a nylon slider. If you remove the carpet, then the slide will have a tendency to want to tip in vertically.

Don't remove all the carpet under the slide. For some reason, just the small amount of compressed carpet, if removed, won't let the locking pins engage.
Bill, if you want a super job, give Ernie a call if he isn't retired or just tired like me! lol. I also did not remove the carpet that is just under the slide. I put in the new vinyl rubber flooring that is in lock together strips. Easy clean, sweep or mop and I use a swiffer on the floor! Wears well and is waterproof too! Would not recommend this flooring with pets. Hope this helps!
Thanks for all the information and ideas. Ernie will be my first call.
For flooring, Ernie or his son would be my only call.
Ernie's son was going to do our valances also but we opted out. Forgot why. Just sayin. He does other woodwork also. Top shelf I'm sure.
My son is building a shop/house and is not taking on clients for quite sometime.
