The Site will be down for Maintenance Sunday 1/14/2024
During this time we will be updating the forum software from 1.1.8 to 1.1.10, Replacing the current media function with a new one, Updating the server/site to run PHP 8.2 from the current 7.4, Updating many addons (member map, pdf, portal, etc) as needed to support the above, updating the site theme.
Expect several hours of downtime.
What am I going to do for all of those hours ::) ::) ::)
Me too!😱😱
Thank you Steve & Michelle for all the expense, work and support it takes to keep the Forum working and current.
Thousands have benefited by your many years of caring technical skills and commitment.
:D :D :D Now I have something to do... Thanks - Steve and Michelle ^.^d ^.^d ^.^d
Thanks for the "Media" heading...
Thanks for all you do
Thank you Steve and Michelle! Don't think we would ever have bought our first Foretravel if not for you two!
Your time and effort is very much appreciated.
Thank you
Thanks for all your work.
Thank you for your hard work!
It's all Steve.
He just added the Wiki link under "Community" as well.
I almost had a panic attach this morning. First thing I do is go through my emails and then go to foreforums. I go click on forefoums and it was not there. Sure glad I read yesterday's notice that it was going to be down for some time today.
Not sure if there is a thread if we notice anything, but I did notice that when I click the last post shortcut it does not go to the latest post. Just the top of the page for that thread. Maybe that is because all the timestamps have been reset? Anyway not a big deal just letting you know.
Thank you guys very much for the babysitting you do for all of us!
Just another "thank you" for making owning a Foretravel a less-daunting experience! You two have been so kind to do all of this for all of us.
Chris
Let's use this topic
Can you add more detail on where you're using a "Last Post" button - the blue "fast forward" looking icon to the right of each topic title when viewing a board?
Yes. My routine is click on new post. Then click on blue "fast forward" button on right to keep up on topics I am interested in.
It will go to the bottom of the thread then immediately jump to the top of the thread. Tried on 2 different computers I have logged into the forum with. Also tried on a computer I have never logged into the forum from. All the same results.
Perfect explanation - Steve is debugging it now.
Steve says it should be fixed now.
The issue was having WYSIWYG as the default look and layout set in your profile, and that was causing a "jump". We don't think a lot of folks use that setting, which is why we didn't know there was a conflict (which has been corrected).
You might have to CTRL-R to refresh things.
Thank you for all your support.
Jimmy
To Michelle, I was trying to post a picture of the water through our windshield, but the internet on my phone is pretty weak out here and it wouldn't post the picture. I am very computer challenged so probably my fault. Thanks for all that you and Steve do for this great site.
